The British Youth Open Lead 2020 took place at Awesome Walls Sheffield on Saturday 22nd February.
In my category C, there was an extremely strong field. Everyone was there! My aim was to at least finish halfway, but if I could make the Finals that would have been great. So when I managed to qualify in sixth place I was really happy.
Going into isolation I felt quite happy and excited, and looked forward to the challenge of the final climb, it was a long wait. I climbed fairly well on the final route but my foot slipped off a very small chip style hold!! At the end of the round I was totally amazed that I manged to finish in third place against loads of really good climbers. For full results click here.
